WE INVEST IN YOUNG TALENTS TO ESTABLISH A BRIDGE BETWEEN EDUCATION AND THE WORLD OF WORK

It is our belief that it is essential to narrow the gap between education and the world of work in order to help students align their skills with the professional skills required nowadays. This is the reason why we are investing in talented students by providing training through recognised, quality co-operative education programmes and by assisting the deserving sons and daughters of our employees in their studies.

EDiM has always believed in a meritocratic culture and in the need to ensure that all young people have access to quality education that meets their aspirations. This is exactly why we are committed to supporting students in various ways.

Our collaboration with local technical schools is a good example of this philosophy. In fact, we have been offering co-operative education programmes for several years now so that we can help to narrow the gap between the skills acquired by secondary school graduates and those demanded by the world of work. Over the last few years, our facilities in Villasanta and Quero Vas have hosted many students participating in co-operative education programmes. It is of paramount importance to us that these programmes are carefully and thoughtfully planned so that they can truly help the young people involved grow personally and professionally.

WE ARE THEREFORE VERY PROUD TO HAVE BEEN AWARDED, FOR THE SECOND YEAR IN A ROW, THE BAQ – BOLLINO PER L’ALTERNANZA DI QUALITÀ, I.E. QUALITY SEAL FOR CO-OPERATIVE EDUCATION, ISSUED BY CONFINDUSTRIA, THE GENERAL CONFEDERATION OF ITALIAN INDUSTRY.

The BAQ rewards the commitment of companies providing training for new generations through high-quality programmes: specifically, EDiM was awarded the BAQ for its co-operative education initiatives and for the PCTO – Percorsi per le Competenze Trasversali e l’Orientamento (Pathways for Transversal Skills and Orientation) implemented in Villasanta and Quero Vas. As part of a number of employer branding initiatives and projects aimed at nurturing young talents in the local area, in the near future EDiM will continue to offer co-operative education programmes in collaboration with technical schools in the local area. We intend to continue to do our part as a company in tackling the issue of mismatching skills, which is causing a mismatch between labour supply and demand, thus slowing down our country’s economic and social development.

ONCE AGAIN, THIS YEAR, AS PART OF A SERIES OF INITIATIVES AIMED AT NURTURING STUDENTS WHO HAVE EXCELLED AT SCHOOL, EDiM HAS MADE SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE FOR THE SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF ITS EMPLOYEES.

The aim of the project, which targets young secondary school or university students and implemented in collaboration with the Argenta Group and Lazzarin Caffè, is to support deserving young people by celebrating their achievements and helping them to achieve their goals.

OUR COMPANY FEELS THAT ALL CITIZENS SHOULD BE EDUCATED AND INFORMED, AND THAT WE SHOULD ALL CONSIDER EDUCATION A KEY STEP IN THE PROCESS OF SHAPING OUR IDENTITY.

It is our desire to promote a meritocratic culture to overcome inequalities and help people get access to education and training, regardless of their economic and social status and cultural background.

We are convinced that investing in young people is the only way we can build a strong and informed society, which is why we will carry on promoting training and educational support projects not only for the families of our employees but also for young talented people in our area.
