EDiM has long been certified ISO 9001:2015, a standard for the implementation and management of a Quality Management System to ensure the quality of its products and services, and IATF 16949:2016, a specific standard concerning Quality Management System requirements for the automotive sector.
Now, after a work process that has taken about a year, EDiM can also count ISO 14001:2015 among its certifications. It provides for the implementation of an Environmental Management System aimed at managing environmental aspects and fulfilling the relevant legislative obligations.
However, the certification obtained is not only the achievement of a goal, but also a starting point: the Environmental Management System is destined to grow and be further developed over the coming years.

This means, for example, that EDiM was able to concretely demonstrate that its activity fell within the parameters set by law in terms of pollution and proper management of waste, chemicals, emissions and discharges.
Obtaining ISO 14001:2015 certification therefore also underlines how EDiM’s activity contributes to preserving and maintaining the environmental stability of the surrounding areas, so fostering a dialogue between the company and the local and provincial authorities.
In addition to guaranteeing compliance with legal obligations in environmental matters, this certification also allows the way resources are used along the company’s processes to be streamlined, reducing consumption and leading to the improvement of EDiM’s performance also in terms of sustainability.

EDiM’s path to certification does not end here: in the near future, our efforts will focus not only on the further development of the Environmental Management System, but also on Health and Safety, as we set our sights on achieving ISO 45001:2018 certification.
